Ok, so the visit wasn't really from the singer-songwriter, Toni Braxton. Rather it was Braxton-Hicks, which does sound like a R&B-Country crossover.
For those unfamiliar with the term, Braxton-Hicks are a type of contraction of the uterus. They are true contractions, just not ones associated with labor. Basically, it's a chemical and hormonal response to oxytocin, and nothing to worry about. Of course, it's easy for the one not experiencing them to say that.
This week was much calmer - at least from a healthcare response way. No more kidney stones for the past few days; so that's a good thing.
But Kristina's belly continues to grow. Everything looks great (and I mean that visually too), but the boys are just taking up a lot of space. At only 25 weeks along, we are starting to project just how long we think she can go. We are starting to think 35 weeks might not be seen before the boys arrive, but time will tell.
Development update from BabyCenter.com below, and keep in mind, both boys already exceed the described weight two weeks ago.
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13½ inches. Her weight — 1½ pounds — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.
I like that word "Rutabaga". You had a peanut (well, 2!) and now you have two rutabagas! :) I hope you're feeling well, Kristina!! :)
